Doctors and Hospital Updates

 

 

July 11th........I had to take a trip to the emergency room because of dehydration. They had to run 2 full bags through my system. I felt better but was so drained after the ordeal

 





July 2nd .......Started a new Primary Physician, Dr Erik Linn. I really like him and hope that he will be able to keep up with me.

 

June 26th.......Started a new Endocrinologist- Dr. Michael White today. They have increased my insulin and will continue to increase as needed

 

February 27.......Shaun went to Quick Care. He has popped a muscle in his arm and has to have surgery.

 

February 28......my swallow test came back with problems. Doctor has called in more medication to help my swallowing and choking

 

February 9,2915.......Talked with Dr Evans nurse today the biopsy they took came back  benign. My digestion test came back ok. Dr wants to go in with a scope and see what's causing my problems.

So today we give a "Woo Hoo GOD!"

 

 

January 30, 2015...I went to my Gastroenterologist Dr Evans said my stomach is not empting properly.  I am scheduled for a 4 hour test on Tuesday, February 3rd. 

 

 

  



January 30, 2015.......I also went to my Internal Medicine Physician and was told i have Osteoarthritis and a problem with inflammation in my hip bones. "And the Hits Keep Comin!" Heading to Dr Ader Rheumatologist

 

 

 

January 27, 2015.......It has been ages since we have posted. The doctors are still trying to get Jodi's blood sugars under control. She is back on Lyrica so the pain is much better.
 

 

 

December 2014.........Jodi had a Bone Scan and they found osteoarthritis and problems with inflammation.

Scheduled appointment with Rheumatologist to discuss alternatives.

 

 

September 24 - 30, 2014...........Jodi had a very devastating hospital stay.....details will be logged in our "Living With Pain" page.

July 25, 2014....Spent 7 hours in the ER after my doctor sent me over to check for a blood clot in my lung. I was dehydrated and they treated me and sent me home......



April 3, 2014....Appointment with Dr. Ader my Rheumatologist. Good news....Dr. Said my Lupus is in remission. All my blood work is getting so much better.
He doesn't need to see me for 6 months.

March 24 2014.......Went to see Dr Henson. My weight is holding it's own. He raised my Thyroid Medication. My neck is still hurting i have to put a heating pad on it and i am taking anti inflammatory meds.  My Triglycerides are in the 1800 but he wants to wait another 3 months.

January 26.....Still healing...but getting better every week

December 5th....Surgery follow up blood test results with Dr Hensen.  He was please but wants me to rest and recouperate.  He said it was a tough surgery for my body and i need time to heal.


November 22nd....follow up with physicians assistant.  He said things are healing well. Bed rest and don't lift anything over 2 lbs. Neck brace for up to 6 weeks. Follow up with surgeon on Dec 19th.

November 18th-22nd.....spent this week in bed going from one dosage of pain meds to another.

November 18th.....came home from the hospital....under heavy pain meds.  Shaunnie bought me a carmel shake for the trip home.

November 15th....surgery went well started at 8:00 am. My bone spur was bigger than the Dr. Andrews thought. They took bone marrow from hip to build a disc for my 4-5 disc. Anethesiologist did a great job and i came out of surgery well. Had some problems with pain management but Heidi my nurse help to straighten everything out.

November 11...Surgery is on for November 15th...I will have a surgery time on Thursday, November 14th.

Oct 24th.......Went to my surgeon.........Physical Therapy is not working for me.  Planning to have neck surgery on Nov 15th to remove a Bone Spur and repair and rebuild a slipped Disc because they are pressing on my Spinal Cord.  Please pray that my Sugar Levels will come down because they are high and may hold up my surgery.

October 17th.........from August till today I have lost 40 lbs. I am attending Physical Therapy 2 times a week for my neck. It is still bothering me.....hope for some relief in the weeks to come. Dr. appointments are starting to slow down.......Woo Hoo!

 

 

October 12th......Hit with a cold.......must have sneezed hundreds of times......... oh well such is life...............
Went through gobs of tissues..............A A A CHOO!

Saw this movie as a child.......this song always pops in my head when I am having a wonderful day.......Zip a dee doo da ....Zip a Dee yay....my oh my what a wonderful day!!!!!!.

Sept 27th... I lost 2 more pounds...was able to drive about 3 miles for the first time in 2 years.....Zip a dee doo da ....Zip a Dee yay....my oh my what a wonderful day!!!!!!

Sept 26th....Went to the Orthopedic &Spine Doctor today...I do have a large Bone Spur pushing on my spinal cord and a slipped disc in my neck.  He is going to treat it with Therapy 3 times a week for up to 5 weeks.

Sept 16th....I got the results on my MRI's and Ultra sound.

My Brain EEG did not show any more mini strokes.

My Ultra Sound of my Caratoid Artery was okay

My MRI of my neck showed a large Bone Spur and a Slipped Disc.  I have been scheduled with a Spine Doctor on the 26th

September 10th........Just a word of praise....I have lost 30 pounds! Woo Hoo! I am off to the Neurologist for  3 hours of testing.  Please pray for me......the muscle tests are painful.

                    

 

September 6th.....Results are back from my liver biopsy.  I have a fatty liver which can be treated by diet and weight loss. The doctor will keep an eye on liver enzymes.

August 23rd......Met with my Neurologist Dr. Djenses he set me up for more tests.  I have to go for 2 MRI's, 1 Ultra Sound, a Memory Test, and muscle reaction test. I went down and had some blood work done before leaving Salter Medical today

                                          

   

August 20th....Still waiting on Liver Biopsy results...........?

 

 

August 19th....Went to Ophthalmologist today.  My Retinas are ok from the Diabetes and Medication.  He wants to Cauterize the drains in my lower lids. I promptly responded with  "I DON'T THINK SO!" He would have to numb my eyes by putting a huge needle in them.  "NO THANK YOU!" I'm doing fine with my drops.

 

 

 

August 18th.....I met the most wonderful lady today Charlotte FNP and she will be taking over my Fibromyalgia care.  She showed me a lot of care and love.  She prayed with me and I was so overwhelmed.  I can't wait to see her in 2 weeks.....very uplifting!

 

 



 

 

August 17th.....Just a note to say that I have lost 20 lbs!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!!                    

 

August 15th, 5:00 pm.....Got mom back home and resting from her exhausting day.

 

August 15th, 10:00 am.....Jodi all prepped and off for her liver biopsy. Procedure should take about an hour.

August 15th, 10:55am.....Mom all done. Procedure went very easy and very smooth. We'll stay here now for about 3 hours to make sure there is no internal bleeding. Test results will be given in about a week.

 

 

August 14th... I went to my Rheumatologist today and had a pretty good report. I am Praising God for my good test results. My Lupus is in remission again.  My syjrogrens syndrome is at a very low level.  My deep vein thrombosis level is very low. My doctor will wait to change meds when the findings of my liver biopsy known.

 

 

 

August 14th... I went to visit Doctor Sahij and I also had a good report.  Breathing is good...Sleep Apnea is good. Doctor doesn't want to see me for 6 months.  Woo Hoo! God is so good!  He is amazing

 

August  9th 2013....Scheduled and made arrangements for Liver      Biopsy.  The all day procedure will be on: Thursday August 15th  at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa

 

      

August 8th 2013 - I went to the speech therapy today. She has given me many things I can do when I choke on food. She thinks I will need one more therapy session. I can do the techniques at home. My vocal cord dysfunction is better with all the things I have learned to do.

  

August 7th 2013....Today we went to Boise Digestive Health. My doctors name is June Reiling. She examined me and went through all my tests.  They will be doing a Liver Biopsy sometime next week. I had to go get some blood work done today to see if I have good blood clotting factor. The Liver Biopsy will be done as an out patient but I will be there most of the day.

I have had a ruff week......very weak physically. Laid around  most of the time.  I am hoping and praying that one of these Doctors will find the ultimate medication or treatment.   

I do have to say 2 praises to the Lord......I have lost 12 pounds!  Woo Hoo! 

Another praise....I was able to sing a solo for the first time in 5 years this past Sunday evening.
